Tupper’s Bar

Tupper’s Bar is part of Lyrath Estate’s original Seventeenth Century Manor House. Tuppers Bar received its name in recognition of the Tuppers, who remained in the house until 1997.

In many ways, Tuppers Bar is the heart of the hotel. Fitted with everything you’ve come to expect from a traditional Irish bar, a warm welcome, an open fire, and a good pint. Tupper’s Bar is the ideal location to catch up with loved ones over a delicious lunch or enjoy an evening cocktail.

The Conservatory at Tupper’s Bar overlooks Lady Charlotte Wheeler-Cuffe’s Victorian garden. Lady Charlotte’s Garden has been carefully restored to match her original design, based on family records and historic drawings. The garden is home to the ancient Lyrath yew trees, protected by preservation order. With an inviting atmosphere, vibrant colours, and delicious food, it is the desired spot in Kilkenny to enjoy bubbly brunch.
