Tupper’s Bar
Tupper’s Bar, nestled within the original seventeenth-century Manor House at Lyrath Estate, offers an inviting blend of history and hospitality. Named after the Tupper family, who resided here until 1997, Tupper’s Bar opens its doors daily from 2pm, serving a carefully curated selection of drinks. Between 3pm and 9pm, guests can complement their beverages with delightful light snacks such as nuts, olives, cheeseboards, and charcuterie boards.
Often considered the heart of Lyrath Estate, Tupper’s Bar embodies the essence of a traditional Irish bar with its warm welcome, cosy open fire, and perfectly poured pints. Whether you’re reconnecting with friends and family over small bites or savoring an expertly crafted evening cocktail, Tupper’s provides an ideal atmosphere for memorable gatherings.
Adjacent to the bar is The Conservatory, which offers stunning views of Lady Charlotte Wheeler-Cuffe’s beautifully restored Victorian garden. The garden’s restoration honors Lady Charlotte’s original vision, meticulously guided by historical drawings and family archives. Among its treasures are the ancient Lyrath yew trees, now protected under a preservation order. With vibrant colours, a welcoming ambiance, and a menu of delicious drinks, The Conservatory at Tupper’s Bar provides a charming and relaxing setting for guests to unwind and enjoy the evening.
